Carnamah is a town and farming community 300 kilometres north of Perth. The traditional owners of Carnamah are the Amangu and Badymia language groups of Aboriginal people, who have inhabited parts of Western Australia's Mid West region for over 30,000 years. We pay our respects to their Elders past and present.
The Carnamah Historical Society was formed in 1983 to collect, record, preserve and promote local history. We established and run the Carnamah Museum, restored and care for the historic Macpherson Homestead, and share local and Western Australian history online.
