His father had purchased 1,296 acres of virgin land in Waddy Forest from the Midland Railway Company on 6 September 1922 [27]
The 1,296 acres was Lot M1280 of Victoria Location 2023 and cost £1102/-/6 (17/- per acre) payable by instalments [27]

Both his father's block and his were transferred into his brother's name on 2 April 1925 and 5 October 1926 [27]

In 1943 he and his wife were living at 33 Wellman Street in the Melbourne suburb of Box Hill in 1943 [50]
They shifted to Western Australia and in 1949 were living at 2 Rene Road in the Perth suburb of Dalkeith [50]
