From The North Midland Times newspaper, Friday 2 April 1937:
New Business
"Another change occurred in business circles in Carnamah this week when Mr A. R. Wilson, late of Mullewa, purchased the general storekeeping business recently owned by Mr A. Smart. Mr Wilson is conducting the business in company with a partner under the title of "Smarts Popular Store." The new owner has been engaged in the storekeeping business for many years during which time he has gained a vast and practical knowledge of the requirements of the householder. In addition to having been business for 20 years in Geraldton and 10 years in Mullewa, Mr Wilson's experiences include the early days of the Coolgardie rush and associations with numerous other fields."
