On 11 November 1939 was a passenger in a utility truck being driven from Winchester to Carnamah by William BUTLER [88]
One mile south of Carnamah the truck ran into a bank on the side of the road and subsequently overturned four times [88] [0: image 03023]
Taken to the North Midlands District Hospital in Three Springs however had amazingly escaped any serious injury [0: image 03023]
His injuries were stated by Dr M. A. MAYRHOFER to be a cut on his head, abrasions and shock [88]
