In 1927-28 had a Chevrolet truck registered with the Carnamah District Road Board with licence plate CA-103 [325]
They owned the 13,500 acre Marchagee Estate in Marchagee in partnership with a Mr EDWARDS in 1928 [120: 20-Dec-1928]
In 1928 they had 3,000 acres under crop, 2,500 of which was on sandplain, and ran about 1,700 sheep [120: 20-Dec-1928]
Their sandplain crops yielded 13 to 14 bushels per acre in 1938 [120: 20-Dec-1928]
A tractor started a fire in the centre of a 700 acre crop on their Marchagee Estate Farm on 27 December 1937 [39: 29-Dec-1937]
25 volunteer fire-fighters put out the blaze but not before it destroyed 60 acres of crop, which was averaging 25 bushels per acre [39]
