She was one of five surviving children from seven with a brother Wilfred and sisters Ada, Alice and Jessie ^[20]
In 1901 she was living with her parents and four siblings in Monkwearmouth, Durham, England ^[20]
Ten years later, in 1911, was living with her parents and a number of other relatives at Lanercost on Harbour View in Sunderland ^[20]
Married Albert Digby NELSON in 1915 in Durham, England ^[21]
Departed London, England with her husband on the steamship Orontes and arrived in Fremantle, Western Australia on 3 March 1916 ^[34]
Shorty after their arrival her husband purchased a Ready-Made Farm in Carnamah from the Midland Railway Company ^[34]
Resided with her husband and later son on Lot M941 in Carnamah 1916-1919 ^{[6] [27] [34]}
After a two-week holiday in Perth she, her husband and their son returned home to Carnamah in early March 1917 ^{[9: 9-Mar-1917]}
Her husband surrendered their farm in Carnamah in August 1919 and shortly thereafter they returned to England ^{[34] [204]}
They departed Fremantle, Western Australia on the steamship Miltiades and arrived in London, England on 30 October 1919 ^[204]
Their address following their arrival was a farm at Ryhope in Sunderland, Durham, England ^[204]
She, her husband their three children were living on her brother-in-law's Town Farm in Ryhope, Sunderland, England in 1921 ^[20]
