His wife gave birth to an unnamed daughter in Manjimup in 1913 [15]
He took up 498.5 acres of land 13 miles west of Manjimup, consisting of Nelson Locations 3826 and 5483 [81: 18-Dec-1927]
His land consisted of mostly first-class red karri loam with a lesser amount of second-class sandy and gravelly country [81]
By 1927 one acre of the property was cleared, 350 acres of timber was rung and there were 448 chains of four-wire fencing [81]
The venture possibly failed, as the Agricultural Bank called for tenders for the purchase of his property in December 1927 [81]
