His father served in the Australian Imperial Force during the First World War and acquired farmland in Carnamah as a soldier settler [30]
Along with his father he caught the train from Perth to Carnamah to settle on their farm in May 1923 [30]
After building a house on the property they were joined in October 1923 by his mother, sisters Mavis and Deborah and their furniture [30]
Resided with his father and then his parents on Lot 6 of the Inering Estate in Carnamah 1923-1925 [30]
After selling their farm in August 1925 they left Carnamah and shifted to South Perth [30]
Resided with his parents and grandmother at his grandmother Mrs Nellie PHILPOTT's home at 25 Roseberry Avenue in South Perth [30]
His father died aged 39 on 13 November 1925 and his mother at the age of 43 on 31 May 1928 [30]
By 1954 he was a Builder and was living at 116 Frederick Street in the Sydney suburb of Ashfield [50]
