On 21 August 1928 purchased from the Midland Railway Company 4,696 acres of virgin land near Carnamah [27]
The 4,696 acres was Lot M1776 of Victoria Location 2023 and cost £,2231 which was payable by instalments over 15 years [27]
In January 1933 they wondered if a record of sewing bags of harvested grain had been set on their farm [81: 22-Jan-1933]
Their bag sewer and rammer had sewed up 432 bags in ten hours of working time and also loaded 180 bags during the same period [81]
The local newspaper revealed on 1 September 1933 that there was a parcel for them at the Carnamah railway station [5: 1-Sep-1933]
Doug ALLEN left in 1933 and sold his share in the farm to Bill and George DRING [P37]
