On 5 September 1928 purchased from the Midland Railway Company 4,659 acres of virgin land at Five Gums near Carnamah [27]
The 4,569 acres was Lot M1778 of Victoria Location 2022 and cost £2329, payable by instalments over 15 years [27]
Purchased the farm in partnership with his brother "Glen" Glenister Albert Miller THREADGOLD [27] [55]
Later shifted to the farm at Five Gums, which was initially established and run by his brother Glen [P90]
Married Doris Janet May WAGNER in Perth in 1931 [66]
In 1933 they received an 11 bushel average from 800 acres of wheat crop [5: 23-Feb-1934]
Left Five Gums during the middle of March 1934 and shifted to Adelaide, South Australia [5: 23-Feb-1934]
In Adelaide he intended to re-enter the land agency business, which he had been involved in before shifting to Five Gums [5: 23-Feb-1934]
