His camp on the outskirts of the Three Springs townsite was destroyed by fire during the early hours of Sunday 6 October 1935 [5]
Only a few of his tools and some sundries were saved from his camp, with a loss estimated at £100 [5: 11-Oct-1935]
His camp was unattended at the time as two weeks earlier he had been sentenced to three months imprisonment [5]
