Departed Genoa, Italy on the Friedrich der Grosse and arrived in Adelaide, South Australia in 1909 [70]
Shifted to Western Australia, where his sister Anna and brother-in-law Franz L. ARNDT were already living [P106]
For a year during the First World War he worked as a farmhand on his brother-in-law's farm in Three Springs [P106]
That year was probably 1916, when he was listed on the Commonwealth Electoral Roll with an address of Three Springs [50]
