Three Springs Notes - (From our Correspondent)
"Whether it is owing to the changeable weather or not I cannot say, but there is certainly a great deal of infantile sickness in our district at present; and it is with great regret I record the fact that on Sunday night last Mr. and Mrs. Frank Legge lost their baby, and only son. Doctors not being available for all country towns, it seems a great pity that some scheme of district nurses cannot be arranged. Infants are such frail and delicate a piece of humanity that by the time we notice them a little "off colour" and can write to a doctor to find out what it wrong, we have lost them. Whereas with a qualified resident nurse who could advise promptly as to "home treatment" or straight to the doctor many a life would be saved."
