Married Mrs Sophia OLIVER nee MITCHELL on 24 July 1897 at the School Building in Irwin, Western Australia [39: 24-Jul-1922]
Farmer of Strawberry Farm at Strawberry in the Mingenew district in the early 1900s [19]
Postmaster in Irwin in 1908 and 1909, and both Postmaster and Farmer in Irwin from 1910 until 1932 [6]
His son Hector was born on 8 November 1900 and died at the age of 27 days on 6 December 1900 [15] [142]
Buried his daughter Lily in a private cemetery at Irwin following her death at the age of two days on 16 March 1914 [151]
At a land sale on Friday 13 October 1922 he purchased the five acre Suburban Lot 28 near the Irwin townsite [86: 14-Oct-1922]
In 1922 and 1926 he was living at a property called Rupert Vale in Irwin [39: 24-Jul-1922] [81: 21-Mar-1926]
During the 1920s he and his eldest sons Rupe and Don worked for a short period as Fencing Contractors in Carnamah [P80]
They erected the first fence around the yard of the Carnamah Railway Station and along the railway line towards Three Springs [P80]
His horse Brownlock competed in the Carnamah Race Club's Picnic Race Meeting held on 25 September 1924 [86: 27-Sep-1924]
Later sold his farm in Irwin and moved to Carnamah where he lived with his son Mick [P80]
Member of the Billeroo Cricket Club in 1935-36 and 1936-37 [5: 15 & 29-Nov-1935, 5-Mar-1937]
Resided in Carnamah until his death in 1954 [1]

From The North Midland Times newspaper, Thursday 23 July 1954:
Funeral of the Late Mr. F. C. Rowland
"Funeral of the late Frederick Charles Rowland, who passed away at Carnamah on July 10, took place at the Winchester Cemetery on July 12. The late Mr. Rowland was very well known, having been in the district many years. He is survived by five sons and three daughters." Note: the interment book for the Winchester Cemetery states that he died in Three Springs on 12th July and was buried on the 13th.
