Purchased Waddy Waddy Farm in Waddy Forest for £2,450 through Charles SOMMERS on 11 September 1913 ^{[39: 12-Sep-1913]}
In addition to the sale price, he took over an existing mortgage of £2,583 and purchased a number of horses and plant for £350 ^[39]
The "splendid farm lands" consisted of 5,395 acres 11 miles from Latham and 13 miles from Coorow ^{[39: 27-Aug-1913]}
The farm consisted of Victoria Locations 3270, 3271, 3272, 3273, 3274, 3276, 3277, 3278, 3238, 3239, 3290, 4118, 5246, 5564, 5787 ^[39]
On purchase 1,300 acres of the farm was under crop and an additional 1,800 acres of forest country had been cleared ^{[39: 27-Aug-1913]}
The boundary of the farm was dog-proof fenced in netting, was subdivided into paddocks, had three dams and one well ^{[39: 27-Aug-1913]}
There was a house and sheds the farm and "fine stabling" for a dozen horses ^{[39: 27-Aug-1913]}
