"Mr H. J. Lee Steere owns Woolawa, which was originally selected by William Campbell, who was the first secretary of the Moora Road Board. It was later acquired by the Hon. Charles Sommers, M.L.A., and by him sold to its present occupant. For some years he was the manager of the Government station at Yandanooka, and from there he came to Moora. Mr Lee Steere has served on the road board and did very good work as chairman of the Moora District Hospital, from which position he resigned a short time ago."
