He wrote a letter into The West Australian newspaper, part of which was published on Wednesday 12 September 1928 [39]
In his letter he suggested that the vast number of unemployed men should be formed into gangs of rabbit trappers [39]
Rabbits, and also kangaroos and emus, were in large numbers and were expected to wreak havoc on crops [39]
