He worked on the seas from a young age until about 1904 when he arrived in Western Australia ^{[86: 20-Feb-1934]}
Farmhand for Walter J. PETHICK on Petan Farm in Winchester ^{[86: 20-Feb-1934]}
Worked sewing bags of wheat over the 1933-34 harvest on the farm of NIVEN Bros in Carnamah ^{[86: 20-Feb-1934]}
He then worked briefly on the farm of DURACK Bros in Arrino ^{[86: 20-Feb-1934]}
Died 16 February 1934 in Three Springs ^[29]; buried Three Springs General Cemetery, Three Springs (Roman Catholic, Plot 15) ^[24]


From The Geraldton Guardian and Express newspaper, Tuesday 20 February 1934:
Old Man's Death - Found at Three Springs - Identification Not Established
"In a small area of scrub land close to the hotel at Three Springs, an old man was found dead about 7 o'clock on Saturday night. He had apparently been dead only a few hours. The contents of a small tin found beside the body are being examined by Dr Mayrhofer and a local chemist. Deceased was not known at Three Springs, and his identity has not definitely been established. It is known that he was recently employed for a short period at Durack Bros.' farm at Arrino. Mr Walter Durack, interviewed at Arrino, said that deceased worked there under the name of Jack Hull. He told them at the farm that he was 65 years of age and was born in Scandinavia. He had been seafaring from boyhood till 30 years ago, when he came to Western Australia. He said that he had been employed during the harvest sewing bags at Niven Bros.' farm at Carnamah, and had previously been employed by Mr W. J. Pethick, of Winchester."


From The North Midland Times newspaper, Friday 23 February 1934:
Death from Heart Failure
"On Saturday last the body of an old man was found in the scrub opposite the Commercial Hotel, Three Springs. He had been dead for some hours, and on examination Dr. Mayrhofer found that he had died from heart failure. His name was John Hull and he had been working for some time with Durack brothers, Arrino, and previously with Niven Bros, at Carnamah."
