After his arrival in Western Australia he spent about eight years at Clontarf Boys Home in South Perth [259]

Worked at JP Keys Jewellery Store before undergoing National Service as "Bombardier Clancy" in 1958 [259]
Briefly worked at the North Midlands Farmers' Co-operative Company's store in Carnamah [259]
In 1959 began working for Robert A. KESTEL at Carnamah Motors at 1 Macpherson Street, Carnamah [259]
Managed the spare parts and service divisions of Carnamah Motors, and lived in the house behind the shop [259]
Others lived with him at the house, which was cleaned once a week by Jeanette V. ALLEN [259]
He became a member of the KESTEL family, and a second father of the KESTEL children in Carnamah [259]
While working at Carnamah Motors he also for a period managed the Totaliser Agency Board (T.A.B.) in Carnamah [259]
Carnamah was a restricted T.A.B. which meant it was only open on Friday evenings, Saturdays and public holidays [P356]
Following the closure of Carnamah Motors he worked at North Midland Motors for 28 years [259]
He was Secretary of the Carnamah Bowling Club for 21 years [45], Bar Manager for 23 years and later a Life Member [45]
During the 1978-79 financial year he became the owner of the house at 2 Yarra Street in Carnamah [3]
For a number of years drove the school bus from Carnamah to Perenjori each afternoon Monday to Friday [P1]

Cremated at the Karrakatta Cemetery in Perth, and his ashes were interred at the Winchester Cemetery in Carnamah [P8]
Following the interment of his ashes on 21 April 2007 a second wake was held for him at the Carnamah Bowling Club [P8]
30 death notices appeared in The West Australian newspaper from a number of his friends and local Carnamah organisations [45]
