On 12 August 1927 purchased 1000 acres of virgin land in Carnamah, Western Australia from the Midland Railway Company [27]
The 1,000 acres was Lot M1739 of Victoria Location 2022 and came at a cost of £400, payable by instalments over 15 years [27]
Departed Tilbury, England with wife and sons on the Baradine and arrived in Fremantle, Western Australia on 10 October 1927 [63]

His 1,000 acre farm was situated on the east side of the Carnamah-Perenjori Road[62]
He appears to have resided in Carnamah with his wife Hilda and their children from 1928 to 1932 [19]

In 1929 had an account with Carnamah blacksmith, wheelwright and motor mechanics Henry Parkin & Son [53]
The Midland Railway Company rescinded the sale on his farm on 20 July 1936, and days later sold it to Mrs Lola MILLARD [27] [34]
Known to have later resided in the Perth suburbs of Nedlands and Safety Bay [2] [16]

Died 17 August 1959; ashes interred at Karrakatta Cemetery in Perth, Western Australia (Crematorium Rose Gardens, N, 122) [2]
