From The North Midland Times newspaper, Thursday 16 September 1954:
The funeral of the late Michael Brennan took place in the Roman Catholic portion of the Three Springs Cemetery, on Thursday September 5, the Rev. Fr. Sherry officiating at the graveside. Michael was the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Brennan of Carnamah and was a highly respected and much liked lad of the whole district. His tragic death will be a severe loss to all. Our deepest sympathy goes out to his parents and brothers and sisters."
