He and his brother Edmund, referred to as "Broderick Bros" were among the earlier farmers of Dudawa [81: 26-Jul-1936]

His farm was 738 acres in size and consisted of Lots 31 and 32 of the Dudawa Estate [44]
Advertised in August 1911 that he was wanting to buy a second-hand damp weather stripper in good order [31: 25-Aug-1911]
He passed away at the age of 37 years at Saint John of God Hospital in the Perth suburb of Subiaco [585]
Died 6 January 1912; buried at Karrakatta Cemetery in Perth, Western Australia (Roman Catholic, BA, 106A) [2]
In his will, which he wrote on 23 September 1911, he left all of his property to his brother Edmund P. BRODERICK [585]


From The West Australian newspaper, Thursday 11 January 1912:
Funerals
"The funeral of the late Mr. Patrick Broderick, late of Arrino, on the Midland railway, took place on Sunday afternoon, and was largely attended. The deceased was
born at Gurrundah, New South Wales, where he resided for 21 years. He came to this State 16 years ago and entered into partnership with his brother, Mr Edmond
Broderick, carrying on farming pursuits at Arrino. The cortege moved from Messrs. Bowra and O'Dea's private mortuary in Pier-street, and proceeded to the Roman
Catholic Cemetery at Karrakatta, where the remains were interred, the Rev. Father O'Neill conducting the burial ceremony. The chief mourner was Mr Edmond Broderick
(brother). The pall-bearers were Mr. B. C. O'Brien, M.L.C., Mr. A. Evans, Mr. T. Oats, and Mr. R. Gill. A large number of wreaths, floral tributes, letters and messages of condolence were received. The funeral arrangements .were carried out by Messrs. Bowra and O'Dea."
