     Departed from London on the steamship Esperance Bay on 1 August 1922 bound for Sydney, New South Wales, Australia [203]
     He travelled with his brother Ernie with them both listed as Farm Workers intending to permanently settle in Australia [203]
Farmer of Ferndale Farm in Waddy Forest / Latham in Western Australia [19] [50]
Purchased with his brother Ernie 1,221 acres of virgin land in Waddy Forest, Western Australia on 27 March 1923 [27]
     The 1,221 acres was Lot M1275 of Victoria Location 2023 and was purchased from the Midland Railway Company [27]
     The cost of their Lot M1275 was £1038/-/2 (17/- per acre), which they paid for by instalments over 17 years [27]
     On 31 May 1926 he and his brother acquired another 960 acres in Waddy Forest from John C. R. CHAPMAN [27]
     The 960 acres was Lot M1273 of Victoria Location 2023 and still had instalments owing to the Midland Railway Company [27]
During December 1926 he and his brother purchased a Buick Standard Six touring car [81: 26-Dec-1926]

They sold 17 bales of wool at 14¾d. per pound through Westralian Farmers at the Wool Sale in Perth on 28 October 1935 [5: 1-Nov-1935]
They sold 22 ewes at 11/10 and 21 ewes at 7/10 through Elder Smith & Co Ltd at the Midland Market in October 1936 [5: 16-Oct-1936]
In November 1936 they sold five bales of wool at 16½d. per pound through Elder Smith & Co Ltd [5: 27-Nov-1936]
His wife Thelma passed away at the age of 55 years on 5 March 1962 and was buried at the Karrakatta Cemetery in Perth [2]
Later resided in the Perth suburb of Woodlands [2]
Father of Garry, who attended the Latham State School and from 1945 the Coorow State School [215]
Died 5 February 1989; buried at the Pinnaroo Valley Memorial Park in the Perth suburb of Padbury (Acacia Court, 3176) [2]
