While endeavouring to take a team of horses around a rabbit warren the horses bolted and knocked him under a combine drill [12]
He was fortunate to survive the accident, which occurred in June 1932 [12: 16-Jun-1932]
The Midlands Advocate newspaper reported that "we hope to see his smiling face about the town again before long" [12: 16-Jun-1932]
