Farmhand for William PADBURY on Fairfield Farm in Three Springs in 1921 [86: 3-Nov-1921]
He and Percy E. HUNT were cutting down large salmon gum trees on Fairfield Farm on 31 October 1921 [86: 3-Nov-1921]
They were working about 100 yards apart and when he didn't hear HUNT's axe after his tree fell he went to investigate [86]
He found HUNT underneath a gimlet tree and got a horse to pull the tree off, but then discovered that HUNT had been killed [86]
It was believed that when the salmon gum fell that it had struck a gimlet tree, which had snapped, fell and landed on HUNT [86]
