He and his employer left Coorow to drive a Reo and a Graham truck down to Perth to be overhauled on 24 January 1928 [39: 23-Mar-1928]
They both went before the Criminal Court in Perth after the Graham truck, which he'd been driving, was destroyed by fire [39: 17-Apr-1928]
He gave testimony that his employer had offered him £10 to burn the truck but when his attempt failed his employer burnt the truck [39]
His employer was sentenced to nine months imprisonment for insurance fraud and he was released on a bond of £100 [39: 17-Apr-1928]
