His remains were moved to Plot 27 of the Methodist section at the Three Springs General Cemetery on 1 May 1969 [24]
From The Midlands Advertiser newspaper, Friday 8 January 1926:
Three Springs
"One of the oldest and most respected settlers in this district passed away in the Perth Public Hospital whilst under an operation. Mr Howard had been a strong and healthy man until recently. He had been complaining of the fatal trouble. The local doctor, Dr McAleer, ordered him to Perth without delay. The operation took place on Wednesday, 22nd December immediately after his arrival. The body was brought back to Three Springs and interred in the local cemetery recently, the Rev Kenworthy officiating at the graveside."
