Son of spirit merchant William Miller ANDERSON and Elspeth Simpson RANKIN [28]
He was the youngest of four children, with older brothers James, George, and William [28]
Their mother passed away from carcinoma of the liver at the age of 36 in 1903; and their father married Susan GRAY in 1905 [28]
When the 1911 and 1921 censuses were taken they were living at Marlborough Cottage in Broomhouse, Lanarkshire, Scotland [20]
In 1921 he an Apprentice Plumber [20]
He departed London, England on the steamship Barrabool and arrived in Fremantle, Western Australia on 25 August 1924 [70]
