On 26 July 1926 took over the contract from Cecil B. O'NEILL to purchase 1,300 acres of partly developed farmland in Winchester [27]
The 1,300 acres was Lot M1601 of Victoria Location 2023 and still had instalments owing to the Midland Railway Company [27]
Farmer in partnership with his brothers "Gus" Augustus ATKINSON and "Jim" James W. ATKINSON as "Atkinson Bros" [P55]
He remained farming Oakabella Farm in Howatharra, while his younger brothers shifted to and ran the farm in Winchester [P55]
Purchased from the Midland Railway Company an adjacent 3,362 acres in Winchester with his brothers on 8 May 1945 [27]
The 3,362 acres was Lot M1792 of Victoria Location 2023 and cost £1176/14/- (7/- an acre), payable by instalments [27]
He never resided in Winchester however farmed the property there in partnership with his brothers as "Atkinson Bros" [P89]
Western Australian Post Office Directories reveal he farmed Oakabella Farm in Howatharra until 1946 [6]
In April 1963 he and his brothers sold their 4,662 acre farm in Winchester to Arthur T. DAVIES [P271]
Died 8 February 1970; buried at Utakarra Cemetery in Geraldton, Western Australia [26]
