In 1893 he was living with his wife Theresa and seven year old Generous PONAN at the Benedictine Mission in New Norcia [321]

Their second child, Bernabe, was born on 11 June 1894, baptised in New Norcia on 12 June 1893 and died on 13 June 1894 [519]
