His father was the son of English born John RYDER and Aboriginal woman Sarah BUNDERAN ^{[239: Tree 14C]}
His birth occurred before his parents married in 1905 and he had been registered as Charles WILLIAMS, son of Agnes WILLIAMS ^[15]
Married (1) Mary Ellen PONTON in Carnamah in 1923 ^[15]
He and his wife sent a floral tribute for the grave of "Father of Carnamah" Donald MACPHERSON in 1931 ^{[4: 22-Aug-1931]}
In 1952 he was living in Dalwallinu ^{[39: 25-Jun-1952]}
He advertised in June 1952 that although he was known as Charles RYDER his name was in fact Charles WILLIAMS ^{[39: 25-Jun-1952]}
In the advertisement he stated that from then onward he must be recognised as Charles WILLIAMS ^{[39: 25-Jun-1952]}
Married (2) Joan Kathleen JONES in 1962 ^[66]
Died 14 December 1964 in the Perth suburb of Mandurah; buried at Mandurah Cemetery in Mandurah, Western Australia ^[138]
