Obituary
Residents of the Three Springs community were greatly shocked recently at the untimely death of Sybil Charlotte, the little daughter of Mr Ted Byrne, and grand daughter of Mr and Mrs E.K. Byrne, the well-known and respected citizens of the district. Seldom indeed has greater sympathy with a family been manifested as was shown with the decease of the little child of three years. The lengthy cortege moved off from the local hospital at 3.30 p.m. on Friday, and a touching ceremony was witnessed at the graveside. In the unavoidable absence of the Rev. Kenworthy, the Rev. S. H. Saggers (Methodist Minister) kindly officiated at the graveside. The chief mourners included: Mr E. K. Byrne jun (father), Mr E. K. and Mrs Byrne (grand parents), Messrs Bob, Leslie, Fred, Horace and Tom Byrne (uncles), and Mrs R. Caldow and A. Byrne (aunts), while Messrs C. Kroschel, McKenzie, R. A. Caldow and F. Keehner acted as pall bearers. Wreaths were sent by the following friends:- Mr and Mrs T. J. Berrigan and family, Mr and Mrs Kroschel, Mr and Mrs C. C. Maley, Mr and Mrs E. J. Duffy, Miss Duffy and Ted, Mrs Dodd sen, Arrino, Mr and Mrs W. Williams, Mr and Mrs A. V. Stokes and family, Mr and Mrs Jack Lynch, Carnamah, Mrs M. A. Pettit, Miss Norah Driscoll, Mr and Mrs C. F. Thomas and family, Mr and Mrs B. Pascoe, Mr and Mrs R. Cole, Mr and Mrs R. Harris, Mr E. K. Wells, Mrs B. Koch, Mrs R. Black, Mr and Mrs J. Cullen, Carnamah. Telegrams of sympathy were received from Mrs H. Byrne and Mrs F. Byrne, Midland Junction, whilst the bereaved father was the recipient of beautifully expressed letters of condolence from the Dominican Convent of Three Springs, Mrs J. K. Hebiton, Mrs B. Koch, Mr F. G. Hardwick. Mr Glaskin, secretary of the Carnamah Road Board, represented his Board at the funeral."
