Fremantle and Geraldton. We will allow that you do all your
wheat trade with Perth or Fremantle; your cattle trade with
Geraldton or Perth, and your chaff and vegetable trade mainly
with the Murchison Goldfields. You will advise buyers that your
produce is ready, and bargain about the price. You will drive
your cattle to the yards at Winchester Station (the station
master will tell you when you can load), and pen them in special
trucks; these will go direct to Geraldton without change. You
will load your wheat into wagons and team (if bagged) to
Winchester - the same obliging station master will tell you the
best times - and this will be loaded (by your men) into special
trucks and carried direct to Perth or Fremantle, or anywhere
along the Goldfields line without transhipping. Your vegetables,
&c., will be loaded into special wagons and carried direct to
Geraldton, where they will be off-loaded and distributed along
the line, unless you send a full wagon load. All you have then
to worry about is to get your money in.

the rest of Australia in the matter of harvests, while its
geographical position places it nearer to the markets of the Old
World by a whole week. That is to say, you score three weeks on
your export trade, and getting first to the market reach it at
