Prices for Stock and Crops.

The prices of crops and stock naturally vary with the demand; but the following figures, taken haphazard from recent Australian market reports, will give a fairly reasonable idea of what may be expected:-

                         Chaff     £5 to £6 a ton
                         Wheat     3s. 10d. to 4s. 1½d. a bushel.
                         Bran and Pollard     £8.15s. to £9 a ton.
                         Oats     3s.2d. a bushel.

     Sheep. -       Prime shorn imported wethers     27s. 6d. to 30s.
                         Good local wethers     25s. 9d. to 27s. 3d.
                         Fair quality woolly North-west wethers     26s. 5d.
                         Prime ewes     27s. 3d.
                         Lambs     14s. 8d. to 17s. 1d.

     Pigs. -          Choppers     51s.
                         Baconers     45s. to 47s. 6d.
                         Heavy Porkers     36s. to 45s.
                         Light Porkers     22s. to 33s.

    Cattle. -         Prime heavy Kimberley bullocks     £12. 5s. to £12. 10s.
                         Prime handy weights     £10 to £10.17s.6d.
                         Fine quality     £8. 5s to £9. 7s. 6d.
                         Lightweight fine quality heifers     £5. 15s.
                         Fine quality heifers     £12s.6d.
                         Steers     £4. 17s. 6d.
                         Green heifers     £2. 1s. to £2. 10s.

     Horses. -      Medium Draught     from £20 to £24
                         Light Horses     £15

     Poultry. -     Cockerels    2s. to 7s. 3d.

     Pullets         3s. to 4s. 9d.

     Turkeys. -    Hens    10s. 6d. to 12s. 6d.
                         Gobblers    11s. 6d. to 17s. 6d.

     Ducks. -       Pekin     5s. 6d. to 7s. 8d.
                         Indian Runners    4s. to 5s.
                         Moscovy    5s.to 6s.

     Drakes. -     8s. 9d.

     Eggs. -        2s. 6d. 2s. 7½d. per dozen.

     Wool. -        8½d. to 10½d. per lb. (English market)


Farms Ready

Fifteen farms are nearly completed , and there are more ready for selection.

Purchasers may either select their farms in England, in which case the will be reserved subject to not having been previously sold, they may inspect and select on the spot.
